Aliya Rabbani is a mixed media artist. Her passion for art started in early childhood and continued to be her calling throughout the years.
Having realized her passion for painting and design, she started her artistic career in 2019.
As an abstract painter with admiration of wood, Aliya explores the complexity of simplicity through natural materials, shapes, curvy lines, and layers. These patterns coexist in balance. Aliya pursues color and design relationships with ardor. Her color palette consists predominantly of earthy tones.
Aliya brings raw texture, an innate sense of detail, and compositional elements to each painting. She has developed her own visual ideas and inimitable style. She invites us to view ourselves and the world of uniqueness and find beauty in every aspect of imperfection.

What inspires you?
My inspiration is - everyday life - complexity of simplicity.
Describe your creative process.
I start abstract in my mind, then I sketch the composition on a on a sheet of paper. Once textures are chosen and work on canvas start, I go with the flow, always opened to organic changes that appear during creative process.

What is the most important tool when creating your work?
Texture paste, linen, pastels, spatula.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
Here are few quotes that are very close to my heart and are best advice. “If you haven't failed, you're not trying hard enough.” by Jennifer Crusie. These words keep me motivated "Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it." by Buddha. This quote is perfect advise to my soul.
