Anando Arnold

Anando Arnold was born in Berlin. From childhood he had the inner need to express himself pictorially.
He studied architecture and free art at the Leibnitz University of Hanover,
From 1990 he lived in the island Ibiza and became a member of the artist group "Art-Club of Ibiza". The Artclub of Ibiza"
regularly organized joint exhibitions on the island, organized art markets, and published the art catalog "Ruta del Arte".
In Ibiza he became a student of Howard Rogovin, Prof. Emeritus of the University of Iowa, School of Art.
On the sunny island, whose nightlife enjoys a worldwide reputation, he created paintings that process the typical flair of the parties until dawn:
The dancers in the darkness of discos, people in bars, but also views of the port and the old town.
Since 2005 he has been working exclusively as a freelance artist.
In 2007 he bought a house with a hall behind it in Bad Belzig near Berlin.
This hall, a former motorcycle workshop, became his studio. Many exhibitions followed in the studio, in exhibition halls in the area and throughout Germany.
In addition to paintings, he also created kinetic and luminous objects equipped with LEDs and controlled by programming.
His latest paintings are mostly abstract. He paints with oil paints on canvas and paper in bright bold colors or like in black and white.
He was inspired in recent years, especially by Gerhard Richter.
He is a member of the BBK Germany.
