What inspires you?
Desire to create something unique and original.
Describe your creative process.
It starts with an idea, a concept, a visual image inside my head. Then I select tools and media best suited to bring the concept to life. During the process of creation I make changes to the concept. Some artworks are done within a day. Some take months to take the final form I am pleased with.
What are 3 words that best describe your work?
Original, intimate, worthy.
Who are some artists that have influenced your work?
Sandro Boticelli and his attention to details, Pablo Picasso and his artistic freedom.
What is the most important tool when creating your work?
Clean water. I mostly work with water soluble media and having crystal clear water is essential.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
I was advised to learn in the first place how to work, how to do a good job. The rest will come.
Where do you go for inspiration?
Supermarkets, shopping malls, boutiques - I think they are modern museums, considering how much creativity and work goes into creating new products, packaging, advertisement.
