Anup Shah was born and brought up in Kenya where his childhood experiences formed the foundation for a career in photography.

Anup’s striking images reflect his key aspiration, which is to be authentic. More About Anup Shah

Question IconWhat inspires you?

Endless space, infinite skies, oceans, mountains, elephants - all make me see the transcendent and feel magic.

Question IconDescribe your creative process.

I travel to wild places, spend weeks on end at a chosen location, and look for scenes that stir an emotion. I make photographs when something inspiring happens. Back home, I edit and then post produce those photographs that speak to me. Then, in order to execute the final steps in my vision, I spend time getting the printing and framing right. From any given photographic trip, very few make it to this final stage.
