Arjuna Gunarathne is a visual artist from Sri Lanka, currently based in London, UK. He has studied the ancient mural paintings of South Asia, and successfully marries Eastern and Western traditions to present unique works that focus on political, social and personal experience. His forte is miniature painting, a genre he was exposed to as a student at Beaconhouse National University, Pakistan.
Arjuna has held solo exhibitions in Sri Lanka and Pakistan, and his work belongs to the Royal Art Collection, UK. Featured in The A-Z of Conflict (published by Raking Leaves in 2016), his works have also been exhibited at the Museum of Ethnology, Austria and the fourth Dhaka Art Summit, Bangladesh.
