Ashley Cunningham

Hometown: Brooklyn

Based in: Brooklyn

Ashley grew up in Georgia and attended Savannah College of Art and Design for Photography, Though she's always had a passion for drawing and painting it was at SCAD that she further developed her style. Most of her paintings are acrylic and mixed media (spray paint, ink, graphite, pastel, oil etc) on canvas.

She is constantly experimenting with new ways to visually represent popular culture and the way it affects communication and the need for immediate gratification both personally and in the world at large. Almost all of her work has an underlying theme of nostalgia and a search for a sense of 'home'.

She lives and works in Brooklyn.
