Artist Name

Isabella Richter

Hometown: Munich

Based in: Munich

I am a Munich based mixed media artist and photographer. The beauty and diversity of plant-based foods doesn't seize to amaze me. My work is based on and centered around shapes, colors and patterns of every day fruits and vegetables which I transform into objects of art. Macro photography and digital editing play a major part in my creative process, although I use a wide range of mediums including impression materials, plaster, wood, metal and acrylics. Recently, I have been focusing on creating 3 dimensional fine art prints with the help of a laser cutter and special folding techniques as well as objects and illuminated installations.

Isabella Richter In The Studio

I routinely use a light box for my macro-photographs. When I prepare foods, my camera is always close by. As soon as something inspires me, I have to work on it right away. Consequently, a lot of my artwork is originally being created in my kitchen. 3- dimensional folding of fine art prints on rice paper requires undivided focus and is a very mindful process which I genuinely enjoy.
