Jana Osterman is a full-time artist and fabricator.
She was born in Slovenia where she attended her first art college, moved to Holland
and studied at Royal academy of art in The Hague, then continued with printmaking
studies in England.
She has been living and working in Canada for the last 21 years, in Toronto and now in
Prince Edward County, Ontario.
Her work is held in collections in Canada, Slovenia, Germany, England and Dubai, which
include public artwork commissions.

all my work is related to nature

One could describe my work as translation of memories I have from a detail of a bird skull, a bone hollow, underwater world, a twist in a tree root… Then add material with it’s own character whether it be wood, metal, cement, paint… They all contribute to an idea I’d like to explore, either in shape or form.
