Preece Munro Design, Art Director 1987 - 1993. Jane Munro Fotografia, Malaga, Spain 1994 - present. Jane works with a variety of media but is principally a photographer. After graduating she spent most of her working life fulfilling commissions from advertising agencies and design companies, but now concentrates full time on her creative output. Fascinated and frightened in equal measure for our beautiful world, the work here celebrates that world, but also alludes to the fragility of its future.

What inspires you?
Partly the desire to be diverted from the things that you want to avoid and secondly without visual creation, I wither and cannot thrive. I can be inspired by anything - even the surface of the road.
Describe your creative process.
That is difficult - it comes in a flood - sometimes there is a dirth and then everything comes at once . It is usually a maelstrom in my head that has to escape the confines of my brain.
What are 3 words that best describe your work?
Intense, emotive and insistant.

There's a long list and my memory would have to work overtime.

My brain
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
I have no idea - I don't think anyone has ever given me any.
Where do you go for inspiration?
To another realm of existence.
