I am from Mexico City, I was born in 1958.
I studied at the Franco-Mexican Lyceum and I did my professional studies in France, in the city of Poitiers at the University Institute of Technology. During my stay in France I started in the world of photography. Back in Mexico, I began my professional life installing X-ray medical equipment (another way of making photographic images), I worked there for 8 years and retired to dedicate myself totally to advertising photography, an occupation that I continue to do to this day.
My artistic work in photography is done mainly in black and white, with traditional processes using film and printing the images in a dark room, either in silver/gelatin or platinum-palladium. I like street photography, landscapes, nudes, and studio work.
My main influences are, to name a few, Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Margaret Bourke White, Imogen Cunningham, Henri Cartier Bresson, Manuel Álvarez Bravo.

What inspires you?
Nature, people, I like to create beauty even if what I photograph is not.
Describe your creative process.
I see the subject to photograph, find the best angle and lighting. I develop the film. I do the photographic enlargement in a dark room, playing with the contrasts until I get the desired interpretation of the shot.
