He prefers the scrape of his tools on the canvas to the swipe of a paintbrush. Three decades of craftsmanship in metal and architecture has honed his skills in using self-made tools to create artwork featuring intricate details through layering and scraping paint.
Yazici's paintings invite the viewer on a journey of self-introspection. Ruminate about the simplicity of intersecting lines, the contrasting organic forms, the bold textures and the disruptive nature of our world.

What inspires you?
Everything around me inspires my artwork, a beautiful landscape, buildings, nature and even construction details.
Describe your creative process.
I feel the most inspired in the morning, my studio receives ample sunlight – brightening up the whole room with natural lighting. It helps me energize and focus on my art. I listen to classical music but sometimes I prefer to work in silence.
