Lydia was born into a creative family. She never parted with pencil and paper. She studied with a professional watercolorist before entering the Art College in Russia. Four years of study at the department of easel painting was remembered by her for the rest of her life. After moving to another country, there was no opportunity to work in the specialty. She raised her son alone and worked in the textile industry. Graduated from NYIP in 2018. She took part in photo exhibitions in Israel and other countries.
