Marina Podgaevskaya graduated from the St. Petersburg Higher Art School in 1983 with a degree in interior design.
She graduated from the school of classical (Dutch) painting (1997-98).
Since 2000, she has been working in oil painting.
She is a member of the St. Petersburg Association of Artists IFA.
Her works are owned by private collectors in Russia, America, Australia and Europe.
My style is abstract and my paintings cover the themes of soul, time travel, fragments of life. My paintings give the impression that something musical is happening.
For 19 years of my work, I've been experimenting with different techniques. Some time ago I began to use paper and texture paste in my oil paintings.
My current style of painting reflects my character and inner world in the best way.
The statement that best represents me as an artist:
«Tamed spontaneity» is like a river. You can control the mass and power of the river, but you will always feel the nature of this river.
