Putri Fidhini

Putri Fidhini was born in Bandung Indonesia in 1992. She received her diploma at Bandung Institute of Technology, Faculty of Art and Design in 2013 with an emphasis on painting. She has exhibited in numerous group shows in Bandung including “LocArt”, Hidayat Gallery, 2014 and “15x15x15: Kolosal”, Soemardja Gallery, Bandung, 2014.

Referring to her most recent body of work, she says, :Through my art, I try to speak about my reality, mind and perception that talk about a relation between dream and everyday life reality, the obscurity of what`s real and what`s unreal, specifically talking about `space`. My painting help me to express and capture a little part of my fear, something deep and cold. It came from my experience of lucid dreams that occur frequently and resulted in anxiety and sleeplessness. That experience signaled a significant change for me, especially my understanding of the meaning of existence”.
