Sander Steins (1973) is a self-taught artist/photographer from Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
He is obsessed with nature, industrial subjects and technology. He is also deeply interested in the darker sides of society and mankind.
Towards art media he takes a holistic approach. All the technological developments of the past decades have made it possible for him to experiment with new digital techniques. He still uses traditional techniques and materials like pencils, paint, graphite, oil pastels and ink. He blends all these new and traditional media in a wild and expressive way, often by building, destroying and rebuilding.
