Artist Name

Saskia Saunders

Born: 1984

Hometown: Aylesbury

Based in: Stokenchurch

Saskia weaves vegan fine art that elevates sustainable living.

She brings the ancient craft of handweaving into contemporary form. Her large-scale artworks explore our collective need to live more sustainably, in harmony with nature.

Using exclusively plant-based yarns such as linen, hemp and paper in subtle, organic colours, Saskia’s work sensitively brings to interiors a connection to natural wellbeing.

Working from her garden studio in Buckinghamshire, Saskia weaves bespoke commissions for exclusive clients, designers and galleries worldwide, such as:
Amelie Maison d’Art, Paris
Contemporary Craft Centre, Hong Kong
Ruup & Form, London

Recent public collaborations include:
Hilton London Bankside
Gauthier Soho fine dining
Edward Bulmer Natural Paint

Saskia studied handweaving at the University of Brighton and works from her garden studio in the Chiltern Hills, England.

Saskia Saunders In The Studio

I work from my peaceful studio, hidden by trees at the end of my garden. Here I keep my looms, yarns and sketchbooks and take video calls with collectors.
