More About Simon M Smith

IconInspires

What inspires you?

It is painting's deepest spiritual intent to reveal the ch’i-tissue and our dwelling as integral to it.

IconCreative

Describe your creative process.

I work in a state of flow, without expectation, where actively ‘not-knowing’ leads to invention, discovery and revelation. The work I make changes from day to day, and the fact that I don’t know where I’m going or what I’m doing next is hugely liberating and motivating. The work becomes what it wishes to be

IconMagnifying

What are 3 words that best describe your work?

Elegant, poetic, lyrical
