Annike Limborco

Annike Limborco

Hometown: Poços de Caldas

Based in: Poços de Caldas

Annike Limborço is a self-taught designer and artist.
I travel the art field since 2018 with graphic pieces, digital painting, photography and mixed media. I am interested in themes related to human behavior in the contemporary environment, as well as the nature of things, colors and pure forms. As a language, I dialogue with the expressive universe of the minimalist current. I design collections for the American company Twill and Texture and for the Brazilian companies Artimage and Breton. In Brazil I am represented by ExpoArt Gallery.

More About Annike Limborco

IconInspires

What inspires you?

nature and human behavior

IconCreative

Describe your creative process.

A thought, an excerpt from a poem, everyday scenes: everywhere there is a primordial point that triggers the creation of a piece. During the process, I go through several technical and intuitive paths that determine the priority characteristics such as volume, colors and movement in balance with the conceptual purpose of the work.

IconMagnifying

What are 3 words that best describe your work?

Simplicity, movement and fluidity

IconUser

Who are some artists that have influenced your work?

Abraham Palatnik, Maria Lai, Shiro Kuramata, Anna Maria Maiolino, Lene Adler Petersen

IconTool

What is the most important tool when creating your work?

Paper, ink, camera, computer, various structural materials (threads, fabric, metal).

IconGive

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

Only during it lasts.

IconLightbulb

Where do you go for inspiration?

In everyday details: the play of light and shadow of trivial objects, or an excerpt from a poem, the colors of the sunset. Also in places with scenic landscapes as well as in intimate circumstances.
