Inspired by silhouettes found in nature, CHAABAN – (pronounced shā-bon) sought to create a line of unique bronzewares and premium home accessories. Our bowls, vessels, platters and vases have been hand-crafted with a specific focus to capture the details seen in branches, trunks and barks. The natural edges, grains, splits and cracks are then interpreted and preserved using traditional bronze casting methods, successfully blending art and function, with the permanence of bronze.

Each bronze cast is made in Los Angeles, CA by skilled, traditionally trained artisans. Custom finishes are available.
"Inspired by Nature, Captured by Bronze"
What inspires you?
I am inspired by silhouettes found in nature - Our bowls, vessels, platters and vases have been hand-crafted with a specific focus to capture the details seen in branches, trunks and barks.
Describe your creative process.
All pieces start with a wood block - interpreting their natural edges and grains into functional and sculptural pieces of artwork. Upon perfecting the wood model, the piece finds its next form when cast in solid bronze, using a nearly 6000 year old method known as lost wax casting. Once cast, we painstakingly finish and hand patinate the piece.
