Chongpaiboon works predominantly with dots to construct a series of contemporary faces with reference to ritualistic Buddhist Mandala circle and meditative state of mind. He discusses the beauty of woman with a glimpse of retro fashion with vibrant color
palette and simple composition.
For Chongpaiboon, each dot represents an alphabet. The continuous stream of dots forming circles represents the forming of words. Several rings of circles put together in one place represents the forming of a story. The idea of circle also refers to a deeper meaning to the artist. As a Buddhist, Chongpaiboon believes in the notion of a “Wheel of Dhamma” which represents completeness, peace, and eternity.
Chongpaiboon commands the mastery of pointillism technique which is done free hand without any technological assistance.
