In Kabata's drawings accumulated delicate ink lines are transformed into powerful vision. She only uses ball-point pen and works on inkjet paper or acrylic board day after day creating deep and strong images. Through her constant movement and extraordinary patience, unexpectedly large works will fill the space, as was the case in MOT Annual 2011. While keeping her credited works by ball-point pen, she challenges some other media such as resinous drawing on mirror or hand-painting of oil, or further, installation with water-pool or tapes, all echoing with her question on the grasping of the invisibles.
