Danny Joe Rose III holds a B.F.A in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Dallas. His work has been included in both national and international group exhibitions. Danny has had solo exhibitions at Jen Mauldin Gallery, Artspace at Untitled, The Charles W Eisemann Center for Performing Arts, Galleri Urbane, and others. Danny has been an art educator at Oklahoma City University, Chandra Kumala International School, Art Class Dallas, and The Oklahoma Contemporary. Additionally, Danny has been an Artist-in-Residence at Artspace at Untitled, The Guapamacátaro Center for Art and Ecology, The Moon Mansion Dallas, The Paseo Plunge, and Oklahoma City University. His paintings explore nature and the human experience, viewed through the lens of abstraction.

What inspires you?

Forms and colors found in nature are a great inspiration for me. I am especially drawn to the landscape.

Describe your creative process.

I work in series, taking anywhere from seven months to a year to produce a new body of work. In the beginning I allow many ideas to exist, and as time passes I single in on a feeling that grows into a finished series.
