Dragana Crnjak

Dragana Crnjak

Born: 1977

Hometown: Doboj

Based in: Youngstown, Ohio

Dragana Crnjak is a Serbian-American interdisciplinary artist whose work explores perception through mark making inspired by both architectural and natural landscapes - suggesting spaces in flux and fleeting moments of time. While focusing strongly on the physicality of the mark, she is simultaneously interested in ephemeral and impalpable.

Dragana Crnjak In The Studio

"My studio space is the most quiet and the most dynamic place at the same time. It is the only place I can freely move around, test, contemplate and feel productive even if I am just starring at the work - which happens a lot. I enjoy slowly shifting the works around and contemplating them through different configurations. The work takes time to get refined and before it can claim itself"
