What inspires you?
‘Balance within Imbalance’ is a formative language that utilizes the contrast between the formativeness shown by a crossing structure of verticality and horizontality as well as the properties of different materials. It is a story about the Imbalanced forms within a balance, in other words a two sided story.
Describe your creative process.
Through the works, I express the crossing structures of verticality and horizontality, with the resulting intersections the object is composed. This secondarily demonstrated as a visual contrast between the ‘balance’ of the vertical structure with the ‘imbalanced’ horizontal cross structure elements. A tertiary method of expressing this design intent is by employing two contrasting materials such as artificial and natural elements. Such a visual and conceptual expression is intended to result in the expression of the ‘humanistic side but also the artificial or human made properties’.
