Based in: Stroud
I'm a painter living and working in Gloucestershire, UK. I'm originally from Belfast and trained in graphic design in Edinburgh. I paint with acrylics, oils and digitally using Photoshop. I'm inspired by things I've seen, heard or read and although the subjects vary, my underlying aim always is to create images that express a sense of something totemic. My paintings often touch on themes of time, place, nature and our relation to them and are my attempt to connect to something lasting and elemental.
We don't have any works from this artist at the moment. Get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
Things I see, read, and hear. They all come together and get churned around in my imagination.
I usually start with a pencil sketch. I then scan the resulting drawing and experiment with colours digitally to produce a rough study. I then use the study as a broad guide to create the painting.
