Lives and Works: Tokyo


Born in 1950, Kokichi Umezaki is a self-taught artist who has been exhibiting his works since 1965. He participated in the "Joan Miro Drawing Prize Competition," from 1981-1983, and was awarded 3 times. In 1982 he won the first prize at the "Japan France Contemporary Art Exhibition" in Paris, and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His works are in the Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art.
