Lavender Chang has a strong interest in contemporary conceptual photography. Her artwork is a reflection of the sensitivity with which she regards the subtleties surrounding her. Lavender hopes to focus on these experiences, utilising them to create a canvas that will allow further contemplation and let the passage of time leave behind traces of her mortality. Her works have been exhibited at the International Orange Photo Festival, China (2010), the Kuala Lumpur International Photo Awards (2011) and Singapore Art Museum and Sundaram Tagore Gallery New York (2014). In 2011, she was also the recipient of the Gold and Silver awards at The Crowbar Awards, Singapore, and was the winner of the Noise Singapore Prize. Lavender was one of the winners for 2012/2013 Affordable Art Fair’s Young Talent Programme, and held her winner’s solo show in ION Art Gallery, Singapore in 2013, and shortlisted for ICON De Martell Cordon Bleu in 2014. She recently had her solo exhibition in Galerie Sogan & Art (2015).
