His philosophies in art, as well as the different approach in teaching art from scientific perspectives opened a new direction for her in art. Realising that she has finally found her destination, she made a bold decision by giving up her position as a Research Chemist to step into the world of arts seriously.
She started her apprenticeship in 2013 through a ‘gurukulam’ system under Artist Jeganathan, who pioneered the system in Malaysia. It is an ancient system where learning is through absorbing knowledge and skills through sound vibration. Here, her involvement in art is greater as she has to play multiple roles to become a wholesome artist. She not only paints but is also learning to play ‘veenai’, an ancient Indian music instrument, sound appreciation, video art and also exposed to performing arts by Artist Jeganathan.
