Hometown: New York
Based in: Italy
Hi, I am Mikhail Mishin. I am interested in the idea of presence and absence and in the phenomena of ‘idea’ as a moment of realization. I find my inspiration from everyday surroundings and employ mediums available at hand. I believe that a brief encounter of absence, emptiness, silence lets us glance at what lays beyond the intangible walls of our thinking mind and connects us together. I was born in Essentuki, Russia, studied graphic design in Russia and received BFA in sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design. I live and work between New York and Italy.
