The work of Ni Yuehui is a kind of empirical projection, which is related to the light of a certain day or the temperature she feels. It is not realistic, but conveys and has certain timeliness. For Ni Yuehui, human beings are so small and fleeting. Perhaps in the eternal calm of nature, people could find themselves again. Returning to the wildness means becoming sour, astringent and strange. Life maybe in the end is nothing. Meaning may be built in its essence. Perhaps this is no life elsewhere, but it is important to keep love and fantasy as instincts. Despite daily pettiness around at any time, Ni enters into the garden of childhood, gently, to stare and to think.
Ni Yuehui was born in China in 1986. Graduated from China Academy of Fine Arts with a B.A. in 2010 and a M.A. in 2013, she currently works and lives in Shanghai, China.
