Paula Chahine

Paula Chahine

Born: 1977

Hometown: Lebanon

Based in: Lebanon

Born in 1977, Paula Chahine studied interior architecture in Beirut. Her two favorite subjects at the university, painting and history of art, marked her lifestyle and career immensely.
In 1999, and during her first tenure as an employee in a high-end galleria, Paula felt the desire and passion to start painting and exhibiting her work at the gallery.  Her abstract style and layered painting techniques, which often featured acrylic on canvas, were well received in the region; selling more than 700 paintings in Lebanon, Kuwait, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
In 2005, Paula established her own creative atelier, where she rediscovered herself, her strengths and weaknesses and her madness and serenity with a burning desire to express.
Her first solo exhibition “Inside Out” was a huge success in Beirut, followed by another solo “The Way it is” in November 2015 which opened the door to several international participations in collective exhibitions in Singapore (Sana Gallery), NYC (Potatomike), Beirut (BDW) and Gstaad (artsfemin).

Currently her paintings are exhibited at her atelier in Tabaris, Beirut.
