Richard Irwin Meyer was born on April 9th 1950 in Yakima, Washington and was graduated from high school after completing a two year program for young gifted artists. He attended Yakima Valley Junior College and Central Washing State College majoring in fine art and art history following high school. He attended Gandy Brodie School of Fine Art in Vermont, summers of 1969 and 1970, with the second year on full scholarship.
Richard's works are interesting because they present abstract works with spatial dimensions that appear broader and simpler, making them easy to understand. Colour is also the main thing Richard has been working on for the last 20 years together with the new trends in technical aspects, fields and lines that affect the content.
