Robert Sainer is a European artist who deals with the current conditions of life. In his paintings and sculptures, craftsmanship merge with creativity and poetics.
Robert Sainer was born in Munich.
His grandmother, a fashion tailor who guided him through the world of Munich’s opera and museums, was a formative factor in his childhood. His mother, a test photographer at Agfa, taught him how to use the camera and how to develop black and white at a very early age. Finally, he learned from his father, a master craftsman, how to handle all materials.
In his youth, Sainer practiced a lot with airbrush technology and earned his money as a technical draughtsman in an architectural firm and later as a modeler in the 3D scene.
Sainer began his professional career as a photographer and designer in the fashion world. Freelance, he dealt with state-of-the-art technology and developed into a specialist in digital photography and image processing. His improvisational art and the safe handling of a wide variety of materials amazed the people on set again and again.
After a serious accident through no fault of his own, he focused on contemporary art, which he had always liked. His stroke of fate opened the way for him to meditate, which he still practises today. It strengthens his intuitions and senses, body and mind connect with the universal energy. A flow of free mind arises to express the spiritual nature of the universe. In recent years, the artist has focused on analog photography, using only basic photographic tools.
The fantastic images that Robert Sainer now creates are images of the physical world, of the microcosm and macrocosm that surrounds us at all times. They show the duality and the invisible forces that create the space between what we perceive as imaginary and matter. His works thus serve as a bridge between quantum (matter) and creativity.
Is there even a separation between imagination and art?
He lives and works near Munich, Germany.
