Rohit J Kapoor an artist with experience of diverse fields from construction to fashion buying in his work portfolio, integrates the impressions of all previous interwoven work influences to propel and converge creative sensibilities with visual aesthetics and conceptual development in the process to create art.
RJK initiates a non-linear art dialogue that seeks to break barriers and crosses over into the in between spaces where art and life converge only to recoil and ricochet their separate ways in seeking its narrative voice.
The artist’s compositions display a strong attention to colour, usage of which is beyond mere compositional element but a more dominant contribution to highly emotional nature of the paintings where moods of monastic austerity and baroque high camp alternate in discerning rapidity and an impressionable connect between hard fact and theatrical poetic gestures becomes visible.
The artistic expression brings forth an emotional creative fluidity that provokes the audience to indulge in a dialogue with varied thematic influences ranging from sacred sexuality, bordello, philosophy, culture, human existential paradox to depicting life as a mere spectator.
