Italian-American photographer Sam Scott Schiavo was born in 1956, Philadelphia. He spent his life embarking on various adventures on both sides of the Atlantic, but eventually, he made Europe his home for over 30 years. Over this period he was working in prestigious agencies in Milan. Spending time in Vienna and Budapest, Sam eventually left the fashion business completely to devote himself to the art of photography full time. His very personal style has been influenced by his love for cinema, in particular, film noir, neo-realism, and underground; along with the great masters of photography and art. His images are natural yet often inherently erotic, like lingering glances stirring ambiguous emotions, transporting us to past recollections in a contemporary present.
