Hometown: South Korea
Lives and Works: Chicago
Sarah was born in Seoul, Korea, but she moved to the US to pursue her interest in art. Sarah received her B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her M.F.A. from Seoul National University in Korea. She currently lives and works in Chicago.
Her work in painting, drawing, and collage addresses paradoxes of images, and larger questions that arise from them. Much of the work explores the boundary between painting and the digital image, and the concept of brushstrokes and pixels.
She had a recent solo exhibition "Playing the Field" at Won Gallery in Seoul, Korea in the summer of 2014.
Sarah's work is represented in several collections, including the Seoul National University Medical Center and the Jun book National Bank in Korea.
