Born and residing in Singapore, Sazeli is a self-taught award winning Fine art and Fashion photographer. Majored in Interior Design in Nanyang Academy of Fine arts, he had shoot for numerous fashion editorials clients such as Cosmopolitan, Women’s Weekly, Solitaire, Mens Folio, Cleo and had won numerous prestigious photography awards in New York, Beverly Hills, Paris, Austria, Tokyo and India.

What inspires you?
Currently Im fascinated by religious art and spirituality from different asian and western cultures. The connection between the spiritual world and the artisans who make those connection between ideas and producing an art work based on those ideas intrigue me.
Describe your creative process.
My works illustrates the idea of anime culture and its unique spiritual influences of Japanese folklore and mythology dated back from the 16th century Edo Period to the modern day Japanese pop culture reimagined. I uses photography to capture my subjects, then meticulously edited in a tedious digital process creating imaginary narratives.

Fantasy, Colourful, Spiritual.
Who are some artists that have influenced your work?
From great Italian masters Giotto to the great Japanese master Hokusai .
What is the most important tool when creating your work?
My camera and I respect my equipments as if they are my wife.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
Being honest with yourself and your work.
