Seksun Toommai graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Thai Art from The Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University. Seksun’s first work of art out of university was made from a Thai sweet called Look Choop. He was able to create a full sculpture made entirely from Thai sweets at Queen Sirikit Art Gallery on the occasion of the “36 year Anniversary of the Thai Art Department” Exhibition. Seksun’s works tell the story of the hypocrisy that plagues contemporary society through renditions that are beautiful and colorful on the outside but represent the tests we face on the inside. Recently, Seksun has been exploring new mediums and creating art through the use of paper and clay materials while keeping the same sense of hypocrisy as concept in tact. In 2012, he joined a field trip to travel to the United States for participation in a workshop and art exhibition.
