Si Jae Byun is a multi-media artist whose works form an inquiry into the symbiotic relationship between nature and architecture. Byun’s series of ink and acrylic paintings on transparent silk employs the notion of construction in elucidating the transformation and use of spaces by humans. Through the use of symbolic representations of natural and artificial elements in her work, she hopes to reveal the mysteries behind the interactions between nature, architecture, and human relations.
