Wei Siyan (b. 1996, China) is a China based artist who works mainly with colour, shape and perception. She translates her studies with different kinds of objects and materials. Her research is driven based on the current situation and cultural mainstream in society of China. In the process, she uses the method of metaphor to show the places she lived in and uses daily supplies to present people’s lives. Siyan participated the mural painting project Hawker (wall) Talks in conjunction with Our Hawker Centre: A Heritage and Art Project as part of Singapore’s SG50 celebrations. She also participated in the Live Art Jamming Activity City Canvas Exhibition for URA project.
