From the beginning of his career, Suhaimi Fadzir established a distinct visual identity, known as archi-painting. Defined as the emergence of fine art principles with the structural and spatial intricacies of architecture, archi-painting forms the intellectual and visual base from which Suhaimi creates his popular three-dimensional works. Suhaimi trained as an architect in the 1980’s at the Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri during the emergence of deconstructivism as a form of post-modern architecture.
