Victoria grew up and went to school in Bath, a city that she still visits often and loves dearly. After completing a degree in Biotechnology BSc (Honours), Victoria started working with international Clinical Trials, which allowed her to travel extensively. It was after her move to Sweden that Victoria decided to change her career totally and attended a Swedish Art school for 2 years. Following her time at Art college she studied to became a qualified certified life coach, which has given her enormous inspiration for her art-work.
Victoria´s artwork is greatly inspired by the Swedish landscape and her International travels. Every day she walks her dogs and is constantly inspired by the different landscapes, captivating light and seasonal changes.
Victoria chooses to paint mainly with Oils, due to their exceptional qualities, textures and colours. She paints thin layer upon layer and pours colour onto the canvas and then occasionally, scrapes and rubs the paint uses different techniques to acquire different textures.
Victoria aims to instil a feeling of stillness and atmosphere in her artwork. Never knowing how the final image will look like until it gradually appears.

What inspires you?
I find my inspiration from being our in Nature. The changing landscapes, seasons and light.
Describe your creative process.
My creative process starts with seeing something inspirational, such as the sea during a storm. I then start with a blank canvas in the studio and then paint my own interpretation of what I saw . I don`t take photographs, but rather use my own memory and interpretation and feeling.
What are 3 words that best describe your work?
Calming , energy, Powerful.
Who are some artists that have influenced your work?
Mark Rothko, Turner, Monet and Cezanne.
What is the most important tool when creating your work?
My palette knife is my favourite working tool when painting.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
Believe in yourself and take yourself seriously as an artist.
Where do you go for inspiration?
Nature, Travels, Beach, Fields, Seaside. Mountains.
