Lives and Works: Karaj
After experiencing various field of studies and jobs, from Metallurgy engineering to Interior Design and from secretory to ceremony manager, Visheh Khatami Moghaddam walked into Art world in 2011 at the age of 30.
Since 2012 she has experienced different styles and media ranging from Persian-Painting, drawing, photography, needlework, installation and video. In her solo exhibitions, she focused on interaction with viewers while she took the subject and unusual materials from her own life events. As a Middle Eastern woman who was born in war time, she is interested in art therapy. Khatami’s work implies to relocation, suspension, human isolation and predefined social concepts. She is also inspired of sewing, handicrafts and religious Islamic motives, and tries to incorporate them with conceptual forms of new media.
Visheh is still in the starting point of her artistic life and full of enthusiasm to experience as much as she can.
