Lives and Works: Bangkok
Watchara Khawngchai’s artworks are deeply rooted in faith, his beliefs and religion. Having completed his BFA in Thai Art, Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University and graduating with honors, Watchara presents a new shape and special technique of art to represent his true passion and the Three Worlds (Tri-bhum) of the Buddhist belief, Heaven, Hell and Earth. This new representation of the three worlds are the main subject of his artwork and are deeply rooted in his faith and daily life while his art story depicts the shape of his three worlds at the present time. Recently, in 2014, he joined the exhibition “Art – For Scruples” in Japan.
