Wu Yunchang’s works are based on erotic images that give him the most direct feelings. He selects parts from the photos to interprete his views on sex and flirtation. Although he feels very close to those eye catching images, he would put them on the opposite side. The most important thing to him is how to express a picture in the purest way. The process of his creation is very much tangled. He often goes back and forth in order to find the picture he wants. And yet, he could not articulate exactly what a perfect picture looks like.
Wu Yunchang was born in China in 1983. He studied at the Adult School of China Academy of Fine Arts. Currently, he lives and works in Hangzhou, China.
