About the artist's series: "Entre chien et loup" (Between Dog and Wolf), 1997-2003:
Entre chien et loup - フタアカリ（Futaakari)
As daylight fades into night, the lights turn on indoors.
The moment when these sources of light meet is called entre chien et loup - between dog and wolf.
I have chosen the colour red to represent this indoor light. Red evokes my internal world, my dreams, my memories and intimacy.
Blue, on the other hand, stands for reality, the world outside, the universe, the unknown.
At the moment of entre chien et loup, the red and blue worlds start to come together and I regain the freedom of my early childhood.
