Made on the concept of consonance, the blend of non-contradictory ideas to form a more complex, coherent whole. Just like musical notes interfering or in harmony, consonance attempts to capture the true spirit of collaboration found in consonance, or resonance, where the waves instead of interfering or cancelling each other out, are in sync together and amplify each other instead. Relevant because it applies to ideas, how they interact with people, and their actualisation into reality. We’ve all experienced this when things just ‘click’ when working on something or with someone. Things just start out well, and bring dividends. Consonance in the brain, rather than dissonance, is a powerful thing. It leads to flow states.

After first drawn to painting after being inspired by Cubism's proposal of perceiving the physical, I create works that play on human vision and perception. I am keenly interested in the intersection of abstraction and representation, subconscious and conscious, art and technology.
I am very much inspired by David Hockney, Picasso, Bacon, SH Raza, among others. Any number of subjects from my rather broad and arcane interests as well as my own contemplations and observations of the current zeitgeist inspire my work. I intend to continue making geometrics although I have painted large, life-size animals and humans in my style, as well as landscapes, a series of mountains which I will continue to expand, as well as pure conceptual abstractions designed to allow the mind to relax and wander, and induce mindfulness.
My artworks are creations made by hand, thoroughly researched, precisely mapped and measured before painting with hundreds of layers in a technique I've developed over 4 years of painting: clean, crisp lines separating blocks of colour, with visible brushstroke texture. I always start from scratch, on a blank piece of paper. Most of the time there is a concept or subject behind a painting that had particular significance or had inspired me based around which an artwork is created. Other times the specific materials dictate the piece into a composition that complements it. I often use hardware brushes for their granular texture to compliment my speedy brush strokes.
I am very much curious of new and emergent technologies and how they continue to drive progress and further innovation, pushing our collective knowledge forward, and how they affect the sensibilities of form, design, and art. The end result of the work is an object that remains decidedly analog and handcrafted in the face of increasing automation, yet developed aided by modern technology.
