About the art
Artist statement
My inspiration for this series of pieces is the full spectrum of color. I wanted to use every color on hand to create a happy and cheerful painting. I applied rich jewel tones and bright colors to convey a joyful feeling. I used several layers of acrylic paint to achieve a rhythm and balance that is pleasing to the eye. The colors that border on one another are carefully chosen and layered to create a slight tension with overall harmony.
Typically my work is photography based, so painting is a freeing experience and an exercise in creating an immersive color experience.
This large painting is the perfect way to bring luxury into any home and can be beautifully displayed on a dining room, bedroom wall, above a sofa or a kid's room.
