Artist Statement
'Temporal' - part of the Manoeuvred Matter series.
The painting is on the cusp of being figurative through the use of life drawings to construct the composition. The paint was applied using a range of techniques and tools to create the gestures. 'Temporal' was exhibited at Myers' solo show 'Manoeuvred Matter' in 2016 at Cardiff MADE Gallery in Wales.

Aidan Myers is an artist based in Cardiff, Wales working between painting and drawing. He studied Fine Art at Cardiff School of Art and Design graduating in 2014; subsequently he worked on a further 2-year studio placement at the art school.
Notably in 2017 Myers won first place at the Oriel CRiC art prize in Wales and 2018 he was an artist in residence for 3-months at the Aamir Art House in Goa, India.
Myers has exhibited at group shows across South Wales and London with solo shows in Cardiff (2018 & 2016) and Stroud (2016).
There are public and private collections of work in: Wales, England, Scotland, Germany, USA, India & Hong Kong.
