I used an old Singapore postcard (Clarke quay) as a reference to dialogue with the past and think about the old city that is beating in Singapore soul.
Exploring the interaction of humans and nature . As usual on my painting I like to hide symbols /words/photographs in my landscapes . I consider them abstract paintings even if some elements have a precise significance.

Alba Escayo was born in Asturias, Spain, in 1981. Following several years in Italy, where she attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. Escayo went on to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Complutensian University in Madrid, and her Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Belgrade, Serbia.
Currently based in Madrid, Escayo is a critically acclaimed contemporary artist whose expansive and compelling paintings and interdisciplinary works have garnered her international recognition, and are extensively represented in museums, galleries, and several permanent public and private collections. In addition to a frequent exhibitions the world over, with most recent solo and group exhibitions in Spain, Singapore, the Balkans, France, and Italy, Escayo maintains a highly engaged and collaborative artist practice which includes numerous residencies and international projects.
